William Konrad Kruesi received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with honors in 1997. He holds a B. S. degree, summa cum laude, in Plant Science and an M.S. degree in Horticulture from Rutgers University, with post-graduate studies in Animal Science at Cornell University. In 1997 he received the Veterinary Pathology Award, and the Amelia Peabody Award, both from Tufts University. Dr. Kruesi is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, American Veterinary Chiropractic Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. Continuing education has been pursued in acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy, bioenergetic evaluation, clinical nutrition, feline medicine, ultrasound imaging, gastroenterology, neurology and cardiology. He is certified in veterinary acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and certified in Animal Chiropractic through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Kruesi's interest in complementary therapies is due largely to the example set by his father, Oscar Rogers Kruesi, M.D., F.A.C.P. Dr. Oscar R. Kruesi retired after 48 years in private practice. He was Director of New Health Initiatives, a clinical research facility for integrative medicine. This outpatient clinic emphasized preventive health care using nutritional, conventional and alternative therapies.
